Pinellas Education Foundation Scholarship Application (PEFSA)

Ranging from $500 to $5,000, numerous scholarship opportunities are available to high school graduating seniors in the Pinellas County Public School system. Students only need to fill out one application to match their needs and future interests with nearly 100 scholarship opportunities.

Student-View Scholarship Program

The Student-View Scholarship is a unique opportunity for high school seniors. it is open to all students regardless of academic achievement or financial need. 

Student Insights will award the following prizes:

  • One (1) individual prize of a $10,000 scholarship.
  • Two (2) individual prize of a $1,000 scholarship.
  • Three (3) individual prizes, consisting of $500 scholarships each

It is exceptionally easy to apply:

* NO minimum SAT or ACT score
* NO minimum grade point average
* NO lengthy, time-consuming paperwork
* NO essays
* NO application fees

Simply complete a 15-25 minute online survey about local colleges. You will then be automatically entered into a random drawing for a scholarship award.

Dunedin Youth Guild Scholarships

 Applicants must either reside in Dunedin OR attend a high school located in Dunedin.

 Scholarships for varying amounts of funds and for varying lengths of time are awarded by the Dunedin Youth Guild each year.

 All applications must be received by Thursday, February 19, 2026 to be considered. Members of the scholarship committee will coordinate with the students for scheduling interviews for all the applicants. The interviews will be held at the Dunedin Community Center.

Elks National Foundation Scholarship Programs

Legacy Awards

Who is Eligible?

  • For the 2026 contest, any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the Order on or before April 1, 2023, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2023, is eligible to apply. The Elk must also be a paid-up member for the last two contiguous years through March 31, 2026. Great-grandchildren are not eligible.
  • The applicant must be a high school senior.
  • The applicant must apply online only. The 2026 Legacy Awards application deadline is February 2, 2026, 11:59 a.m. Pacific Time. NOTE: This is NOON, mid-day, Pacific time.
  • If the applicant's parent and grandparent are both Elk members, the applicant must select the parent's Elks Lodge on the application.
  • We have waived the standardized test requirement for the 2026 Legacy contest. You do not need to submit ACT and/or SAT scores.
  • Students may apply for more than one ENF scholarship; however, they may win only one. In cases where the student wins more than one, we will award the scholarship with the greater value. Students can accept local and state scholarships, which are separate from the awards at the national level.
  • Legacy Awards may only be applied to accredited US American schools, colleges or universities. (Note: Applicants from Panama, Puerto Rico and the Philippines may apply Legacy Awards toward schools, colleges or universities in their respective homes.)
  • If you are selected as a 2026 Legacy Awards recipient, to further strengthen your connection to the #ElksFamily, you must complete an act of service with a Lodge at least three times during your collegiate career. Click here for more information about serving with the Elks.

How Do I Apply, and What Are the Deadlines?

Eligible students should apply in the following manner:

  1. The student must complete and submit the ONLINE application. The 2026 Legacy Awards application opens on September 1, 2025 and the deadline is February 2, 2026 at 11:59 a.m. Pacific Time.
  2. The Elk sponsor’s membership will be verified through the BPOE Grand Lodge headquarters.
  3. When a student registers to complete the online application, both the applicant and Lodge Secretary will be notified by email.
  4. If you have questions about your online Legacy Awards application, contact the ENF Scholarship Office via email at scholarship@elks.org. Visit our Legacy Awards FAQ page.
  5. Upon receipt of the application, the applicant will receive a notification that the application was received. Winners will be announced in late April 2026.

HORATIO ALGER SCHOLARSHIP

JUNIORS

Application Deadline: March 1, 2026

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be enrolled full time as a high school junior in the United States
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States
  • Demonstrate financial need ($100,000 or lower household income)
  • Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities
  • Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
  • Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0
  • Be a United States citizen

SENIORS

Application Deadline: February 15, 2026

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be enrolled full time as a high school senior in the United States
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at one of the target colleges/universities on our website (complete list can be found here: Senior Scholarships)
  • Demonstrate financial need ($100,000 or lower household income)
  • Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities
  • Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
  • Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0
  • Be a United States citizen
