Pinellas Education Foundation Scholarship Application (PEFSA)

Application Opens:  September 30 - January 31

PEFSA

Ranging from $500 to $5,000, numerous scholarship opportunities are available to high school graduating seniors in the Pinellas County Public School system. Students only need to fill out one application to match their needs and future interests with nearly 100 scholarship opportunities.

Student-View Scholarship Program

The Student-View Scholarship is a unique opportunity for high school seniors. it is open to all students regardless of academic achievement or financial need. 

Student Insights will award the following prizes:

  • One (1) individual prize of a $10,000 scholarship.
  • Two (2) individual prize of a $1,000 scholarship.
  • Three (3) individual prizes, consisting of $500 scholarships each

It is exceptionally easy to apply:

* NO minimum SAT or ACT score
* NO minimum grade point average
* NO lengthy, time-consuming paperwork
* NO essays
* NO application fees

Simply complete a 15-25 minute online survey about local colleges. You will then be automatically entered into a random drawing for a scholarship award.

DeBartolo Family Foundation Scholarship

The DeBartolo Family Foundation is offering $2,500 scholarships to current high school seniors in Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, and Polk counties who have demonstrated academic excellence while overcoming challenges and who are committed to furthering their education. Applicants must plan to enroll in a university, community college, or technical school beginning this summer or fall.

Colonel Mildred Imogene Butler Scholarship

The Kiwanis Club of Seminole Breakfast offers the Colonel Mildred Imogene Butler Scholarship to students enrolled in St. Petersburg College pursuing a degree in the Health Sciences Program.

The application period is from April 1st through May 15th and is valid for the Fall Semester through the Summer Semester of the school year awarded.

Horatio Alger Career and Technical Scholarships

This year, 300 students will be awarded with scholarships up to $2,500 to help fund their education. Funds may be used for tuition, childcare, transportation, equipment, supplies, or other related costs. To apply for a scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Have completed high school (or equivalency) by July 1
  • Plan to attend a not-for-profit community college or trade/vocational school
  • Enroll in an associate’s degree, certificate, or diploma program by September that will lead to employment
  • May not be enrolled in pre-requisite courses
  • Demonstrate financial need (applicants must show household income of $100,000 or less)
  • Be under the age of 35
  • Be a United States citizen

AWARD:  Up to $2500

Ernest J. Freeman Jr. Memorial Scholarship

Gulf Beach Masonic Lodge No. 291 is offering a $3,500.00 scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who attends any one of these High Schools: Boca Ciega; Dixie Hollins; Gibbs; Lakewood; Largo; Northeast; Osceola; Pinellas Park; Seminole; or St. Petersburg. They must demonstrate high academic achievement, as well as active volunteer service to the community. Students must plan to enroll in a regionally accredited Junior College, College or University leading to a four-year baccalaureate degree. There is no requirement for Masonic affiliation and the scholarship is awarded without regard to race, color, creed, gender or religious preference.

Qualified students must access the application online at www.gulfbeachlodge.org under the “scholarship” tab. The completed form must then be saved and emailed as an attachment to gulfbeachlodgescholarship@gmail.com.

Singularity:  AI Essay Contest

The Singularity: AI Essay Contest invites exceptional high school students to engage with questions that will define how humanity thinks, works, and lives. Prompts are contributed and judged by researchers from MIT, Yale, and Oxford. We are looking for clarity of thought, depth of argument, and the courage to take a real position.

AWARD:  Winners receive up to $2,490 in scholarships to any Veritas AI programs.

PSCA 2026 Scholarship Opportunity

Eligibility & General Guidelines:
• Student must be a senior in a Pinellas County high school.
• Essays should not exceed one page providing detailed information on the impact a school counselor (from elementary, middle or high school) has had on the student.
• All applications must be submitted with a completed PSCA Essay Competition Entry Form.
• All applications must include one letter of recommendation from a school staff member.
• All applications must include proof of admission/enrollment at a four-year university, two-year college, or vocational program.

Lou and Lillian Padolf Foundation Scholarship Opportunities 2026-2027

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must:

  • Graduate in the top 25% of their class from a Pinellas County high school
  • Maintain permanent residence north of Walsingham Road and south of Klosterman Road in Pinellas County
  • Attend a fully accredited college or university within the state of Florida

Scholarships are awarded only for undergraduate studies and may be renewed annually for up to four consecutive years, at the discretion of the Awarding Committee.

Sigma Phi Epsilon is proud to offer the Balanced Man Scholarship at over 140 universities to student leaders this year! This is a great opportunity for students entering college this fall.
