Summer School

Any student who fails a core subject area course (i.e., an English, Math, Science, and/or Social Studies course) that is required for graduation must retake the course to recover the credit. Students may also choose to retake a course in order to improve their grade and overall GPA; please know, however, that only grades of D and F are eligible for forgiveness, with the exception of Cs earned in middle school.

Courses will be taken via Edmentum, an individualized computer-based credit recovery program that allows students to work at their own pace until content is mastered.

Students will be able to recover credit in the following subject areas:

• English
• Math - Algebra 1 is completed through Summer Bridge (see below)
• Science
• Social Studies

Our Credit Recovery Program will run from June 1st through July 16th. Students will be required to attend Monday through Thursday, from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Students are not required to stay the entire summer session if they finish recovering their credits earlier.

Transportation will not be provided.

Summer Bridge programs will focus on helping students address academic challenges and continue to address achievement gaps; high school programs concentrate on helping students meet graduation requirements.

Algebra 1 Course Recovery 
June 15 - June 25

Current 9th-11th graders take the Algebra 1 Course to recover Algebra course credit and prepare to pass the Algebra 1 EOC.

Algebra 1 EOC Prep 
June 29 - July 9 (Testing July 13 and July 14)

Current 9th-11th graders take the Algebra I EOC Prep course to pass the Algebra 1 EOC or the ACT.

CLT ELA and Math Prep 
June 8-10 (Testing June 11)
July 13-15 (Testing July 16)

Current 10th and 11th graders (and current 12th graders who need to graduate) take CLT ELA Prep or CLT Math Prep to prepare for the standardized tests required for graduation.
