Do you have a child that is an independent learner, possesses basic computer skills and takes responsibility for their learning? Pinellas Virtual School (PVS) may be a good educational choice. Students of PVS have the flexibility to attend part time and can work at their own pace. The school's curriculum keeps students engaged with a mix of online and print materials.
 
 
 

 

VIRTUAL SCHOOL PROGRESSION BENCHMARKS AND DEADLINES

1st Semester:

September 10 - You should be 25% through your segment(s).

October 10 - You should be 50% through your segment(s).

November 13 - You should be 75% through your segment(s).

December 15 - You should be 100% through your segment(s). 

December 19 - You MUST be 100% through your segment(s). Failure to meet this deadline will result in the removal of 2nd Semester virtual school release periods.

2nd Semester:

February 6 - You should be 25% through your segment(s).

March 13 - You should be 50% through your segment(s).

April 24 - You should be 75% through your segment(s).

May 21 - You should be 100% through your segment(s).

May 28 - You MUST be 100% through your segment(s). Failure to meet this deadline will result in the removal of virtual school release periods for the 2026-2027 school year.

*Seniors should be finished with their 2nd Semester virtual school segments by May 15th. Seniors that fail to meet this deadline jeopardize their eligibility to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Remember, you are solely responsible for the successful completion of your virtual courses by the deadlines Osceola sets. Ultimately, you MUST be 100% through your course or course segment, which includes all coursework, DBAs and exams, by the last day of each semester. Osceola’s deadlines also supersede any and all virtual school extension opportunities; it is your responsibility to communicate this information to your virtual teacher.
